1. Flow Load Surveys: As a crucial part of any plant upgrade or re-sizing, Ecotec conducts accurate flow/load surveys to gauge the parameters that a works will need to provide treatment. Data collection includes installation of temporary flow monitoring if required and composite samplers for the most accurate information.

One of our more demanding flow load surveys in the South of Scotland involved the simultaneous use of 5 automated samplers and flow meters. On some projects we have collected many thousands of water samples over a protracted period.
Ecotec have Siemens XRS-5 Ultrasonic Sensors and SIT400 LUT controllers for high accuracy monitoring of open channel flows. This equipment allows us to carryout independent measurement of fluid flows occurring during the course of flow load surveys. In addition we have other kinds of portable monitoring equipment.
2. Monitoring Discharges
Ecotec Water Limited works closely with Scottish Water and civil engineering contractors to provide reliable data on discharges. Our aim is to provide a very rapid reporting service to guide the decision making that occurs on a day-to-day basis during the course of a project. We are able to measure the total and suspended solids in the particular water source you are dealing with, so that you can remain within permitted discharge values. This approach is superior to the use of turbidity measurements that are calibrated with secondary standards such as formazin suspensions. If you are using continuous inline turbidity measurements we can also provide you with a laboratory-based gravimetric calibration.

3. Performance Tests: Our experienced staff interface with both project
staff and local operations to agree a suitable strategy for
sampling throughout a treatment plant's performance test
period. Ecotec provides an independent sampling service that
delivers reliable and accurate data which is reported when
needed most in a clear and professional format.
4. Operator Training: Successful training of operations staff is essential for the continued efficient operation and maintenance of all new and existing assets. This service will include the production of a bespoke training plan for each individual plant.
